Walking the walk...
I'm walking the walk and not just talking the talk! Here's to modeling being a risk taker. We'll use this class blog to start or continue conversation(s) from class readings and discussions. Watch this clip and post a response on how this information can inform your instructional planning and teaching: Middle School Gossip

Hi Marialice,
This video is so funny! Thanks for getting me excited again about what I am working toward, and bravo to you for starting your very first blog!
I was glad that the teachers they interviewed got it right. They spoke about the "hierarchy of needs" of the middle schooler. This video illustrates that perfectly.
Oops. I didn't use my full name when I registered. "ML" is me (Mary Lou)
I like how the style of the video kind of models a young adolescent's outlook - choppy, interrupted, yet keeping track of a million things at once.
If I had made this video, James Campo would have been "the" sought-after guy. I can see him clearly in Mr. McGrath's English class - like it was only yesterday. My primary goal in junior high was to see and be seen. I thought this clip captured that focus so very well!
Wow! This video brought me right back to middle school! I loved hearing what the students were talking about and how school is literally the last thing on their minds!
